Hello. We are looking for a nice rural area outside of Charlotte, NC maybe 30-45 mins away. Suggestions? ?

My hubby & I are in late 30's, both love the country and relaxation. We are moving from a rural area in Fla where the neighbors all watch out for one another, and the average back yard is one acre plus. We maybe making this move due to a career transfer, don't mind driving up to 45 Min's to get home. Thanks.
