Drinking whilst being pregnant birth defects?

Hello, so I am writing a book and the mother heavily drinks whilst pregnant, I don't want the baby to die and the baby is going to be Down Syndrome (un-related to alcohol as that is a chromosome problem) but I want to give the child another disability, not in a nasty way at all, it's just for the story, so what could the child be affected with? Help me please. Also, would blindness in one eye possible be an outcome to the drinking? Also, she smoked heavily too!
