Why do gay people like to point out that they're gay when straight people ask questions?

Like some girl will ask about problems she's having with her boyfriend, or somone will ask about some problem pertaining to heteroual , then all the gays will chime in with "I wouldn't know, I am gay and you're in the wrong category" it's not straight people's fault that all the questions pertaining to default to the gay category.
